IS IT ME
PART ONE OF TRILOGY NUM_BERS
We see an artist and his fictional character. It is hard to distinguish the difference between him and his creation. How ambivalent is this relation for the person behind artist/artistic figure?
In the moments when he loves or hates himself, whom does he actually love or hate? Which fractions are still real, and how often does he ask himself? Who am I? Is it me?
How is this artistic character perceived from the outside? In the end, isn’t it just a product, a soft good, a purchasable item? It could simply be reduced to a barcode. However, each barcode that can be found on every book is a compilation of an enormous number of chapters, pages, numbers and letters. Just like every individual.

LONELY GREEN
PART TWO OF TRILOGY NUM_BERS
PIN, date of birth, social security number, telephone number and passport number ...
Where is the value of all these significant number clusters? Especially, when the memory is missing, when the information behind is no longer available?
How do dementia-affected people feel as they have lost the ability to recall their own memories?
The memory does not only live in the brain, but also in the body.
The body is a vessel for memories, which can be recalled in different ways.
a brain that forgets
a body that remembers
a space where memories turn into experiences
a place in the past that no longer plays a role in the future
everything becomes the present
In the piece, time is taking back its role as dimension. The perception of duration and occasions receive their own space.

ZERO
PART THREE OF TRILOGY NUM_BERS
Zero and one are today’s undisputed rulers in the empire of numbers. Quite and ascent, quite a performance! Especially regarding the fact that the number zero started to exist just 400 years ago. And how much is a trillion? Recently, it seems to be quite en vogue to splash about big numbers. Which dimension can a number that consists only of 0s and 1s reach? How small can it be, and how does a movement between 0 and 1 look like?
First you see a tree and you become one with it. Whether we realize it or not, it is exactly the same process when we see someone or something for the first time. In the end, there is no distance and no difference between you and the tree.
But then, when the self comes back where it detects this wonderful tree and comments on it, this is the point at which the distance and difference manifest themselves again. Even if you take an unbiased look at the tree, a sense of distance and difference will exist. But if we go back to zero, we are completely one with the tree. The reflection is gone and there is neither a distance nor a difference
